Check out this little man's one-year session! With some really great ideas from his mama, this has to have been one of the funnest one-year milestone sessions I've done. The balloon was a huge hit! Not only with the birthday boy but with his spectators. I am not sure who enjoyed that part of the session more - his cheer squad or him. Happy Birthday Mister! Already looking forward to what your mama has up her sleeve for your terrific twos session.

When Miss P's mom contacted me to do pictures, I was thrilled! She put a lot of thought into the session. She brought along ALL of the adorable props. The angel wings and tractor were such a great idea. I love when parents take an active roll in the sessions. Her ideas were spot on and so fun to work with. Not only did it add such a unique and adorable flair, it also allowed for a creative title to their blog post! Roots & wings. As a parent myself, this is such a bittersweet statement. You want to give your children their roots. Help them to understand and appreciate where they come from and who they are. But with that, comes their wings. Giving them the courage fly. To find the things that make them happy - the things that they find important - that make them who they are. All the while teaching them they will always have their roots - a place to always come home to.

I have had a crazy-busy summer! So busy, I was shocked to see I hadn't done a blog post since JUNE?!?! I have good reason... I am now the proud mama of THREE kids! My husband and I were lucky enough the welcome our third child into the world this summer. On top of our already crazy life, we now have one more munchkin to chase after! Now that I am slowly getting back into photography, I felt this session was a great way to start out my Fall season blog posts! Check out these two adorable sisters and the time I spent with them! This little girl would just melt your heart! She was the sweetest, happiest six month old!  The sun was shining, it was an unseasonably warm afternoon and the foliage was in full bloom... a beautiful May afternoon! Perfect day for this shoot. Thanks so much to her three cousins who followed us around and so I could get these amazing smily shots! (And of course her mom for contacting me - again - to do her 6-month session!) Holy smokes, it's almost summer and my season is in full swing!  I can tell you that I am hoping for a much easier scheduled summer than I had spring. The weather has been an issue for me... Causing me to schedule a shoot just to reschedule due to the rain or crumby weather! That situation applies to this shoot! Somehow, we got lucky! After getting rained out of our first scheduled shoot, we were somehow able to predict one of only two dry hours and reschedule for the next day! Amazingly good luck? I think so! Check out these adorable brothers. (And when I say adorable, I am not kidding!) I am so thrilled with how these images from our session came together! Cute and stylish!
